Dear Family,
Your support means everything to me, I see you giving me everything you can give, and I could not be more grateful for each of you. Based on the title of this blog, I thought I would share my thoughts on paper for the viewer. The previous drop happened just a year ago, and with a year's worth of knowledge and career experience, we are making an even better collection for you. It was surreal seeing friends and family get the first hoodie and to receive all the feedback of, “I wear this all the time.. It is so comfortable, etc.” There was nothing easy about getting them those garments as I can still remember those many all nighters spent on the website, campaign, and brand standards of procedures. But then I saw the smile on your guys faces in my garments and I fell in love with the collection all over again.

After the drop, I grinded some more to finish out my A.A. degree at FIDM (Associates of Arts) in LA. Loved making and shooting my 3 look final A.A. collection in my home of Downtown LA.

I loved my two year program and was considering doing two more years of Fashion Design to get a Bachelors, but I was being creatively restrained in LA. While pursuing design assistant internships after getting the first degree, I stumbled upon Homme Femme and Peet Dullaert. All of a sudden I was in the atelier with fashion designers who have been succeeding in the industry for 10+ years. It was a dream job doing tech pack curation, art packages, technical fittings, trend forecasting, graphic+CAD design, making line guides, and talking logistics with vendors and collaborators. It sounds like a lot and it is, because that’s what a fashion brand has to do function, but I loved coming to work. It brought me to special events in Hollywood and even crazier Paris Fashion Week.

Now we must talk about Paris. Like I mentioned I was not sure where I was going to finish my bachelors degree in Fashion Design. After so much research, portfolio gathering, and presentation, I found out I got accepted into fashion school in the city of Paris, IFA. Everyone was over the moon excited for me and I remember speaking with Drew Evans, Founder of Homme Femme, and him going “That’s amazing New Guy, hit me up when you’re out there and I am going to connect you.” So then I move to Paris and become entranced with everything about it. The ambience, the fashion connections, the culture. My creativity comes back alive when I am in my bachelors program creating something day in and day out, working towards the goal I have always dreamt of. My brand Maison De Valoré.
Changing the name from House of De Valoré to Maison was a seamless idea being here in Paris. And then we got to working on the second drop with the most beautiful backdrop in the world, the Eiffel Tower. Carrying our house codes into this collection. We see a Los Angeles golden hour sunset coalesce with Parisien luxury to form an inspiring young and androgynous brand of edgy elegant art. We hope you show up for drop day.
Drop in two weeks on 7/13/23
